National BBQ News 2011 Sauces of Honor

We are proud to announce that Daddy O's BBQ Sauce did OUTSTANDING our very first year entering! We placed in every category! Check it out!

Way to go Daddy O's team! Our Original sauce placed 3rd in Beef, and our Jalapeño Mpale sauce placed 10th and 12th in Pork out of many many entries. We are so proud!

Of course, we didn't need a sauce competition to tell us how well we're doing. We get SO MUCH positive feedback from all of you at our competitions. All of us on the Daddy O's team get asked for sauce on at least a weekly basis. So we'd like to thank all of you for your support in our saucy endeavors!

Que'n for Kids June 2011

It's summer time, and you know what that means! We spent the weekend BBQ'n at Que'n for Kids at the OC Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa.

ALL proceeds go towards Kristie's Foundation: a foundation that provides terminally-ill children live out the rest of their lives with happiness and peace.

What a wonderful day! It was such a hot and busy day that we spent the rest of the competition sitting (or laying down) in the shade.

A cold, damp night spent "sleeping" outside by the smoker didn't dampen our pitmaster's spirits. He was fresh and  ready to serve up some delicious BBQ for our hungry crowd!

All-in-all, it was a nice day with friend's and family. Several people raved about our food and BBQ sauce, and a few people were really interested in having us cater their events. Sounds like a perfect day to me!
